Ok, I don't know a WHOLE lot about this stuff, but I'm picking it up fairly quick.. Anyway I've got a 2 channel amp stable at 2 ohms, and a sub that's 4 ohms. This is the first system I've built where I've had this problem (since I'm only running 1 sub) so I don't know what kind of issues I might have, trying to run this setup.. I've been looking on a few different forums trying to find the answer but not much luck so far. Any insights?

Which amp is it?

Most 2 channel amps are nly 2 ohm stereo stable, or in other words, 4 ohm mono.

If you bridge the outputs of your amp onto your 4 ohm sub you should be in good shape.

Ok, good to hear, thanks. I was hoping that would be the case, once I bridged it. And I definately didn't want to hear that I would have to run two subs.. The amp is nothing special, some off brand I can't even remember right now. I paid 50 bucks for it just so I'd have something to power the sub until the summer comes and I'm working, etc.

That will be fine, just make sure you bridge the amp properly.
