Posting for a friend:
Please be on the look out for a white 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 extended (club) cab short box. Has a matching white Lund tonneau cover on the box. Was taken from the Whitehorn LRT station sometime between 7am and 4pm on Tuesday Mach 28th. Licence plate number Alberta GEA-475. Please contact CPS asap if you see this vehicle.
Thanks to everyone in advance for your help!
The front bumper has rust where the chrome used to be.

True. All CPS said was ok, here is a case number and we will be in touch! I guess they have more important things to do and I understand that. Vehicles are taken everyday in Calgary. I wonder if my buddy will ever see his truck again or is it long gone by now? I was also told that the Dodge RAM is one of the easiest trucks to steal?
Still shitty for him, it was not paid off yet, but he did have full coverage so hopefully he will come out ok in the end. At this point, it is just a huge inconvenience for him.
Well in the unlikely event that they take it all the way out to vancouver to be chopped.. I always notice cars with AB plates.
Freakin' LRT stations, eh? I've never even been comfortable parking there for 8 minutes, let alone 8 hours. :(

He probably won't see it again, which would be the best situation. It would suck for the CPS to find it, completely trashed and abandoned somewhere.
Hopefully your bud never sees it again, get the insurance cash, and gets a new vehicle.
Sucks big time. But it makes for a cool story, and he might bag a new vehicle from it all.

Does anyone know if the LRT stations have video surveillance on the parking lots? If they do, I wonder how good the video would be of the person (s) responsible for taking his truck?

No camera's from what I understand. Had my truck broken into also. I could be mistaken but it is cheaper for the city to post a sign saying park at owners risk then running cameras around there lots. Just a thought
Shitty deal though about your buddys truck
