Isn't that kind of like comparing an Integra GS with an Integra Type-R? Same chassis but all the suspension and engine and stuff is different?

no CSX Type-s engine is different from this Civic Type R..well at least they're tuned differently. CSX-S has 197 hp while this Civic has 225 hp.

Hmm i think Civic SI is 197 and CSX type S is 201hp by new rating

sorry you're wrong. The Civic Si and CSX-S both have the same engine..197 hp and 139 lbs of torque.

I don't think Japan has the same SAE hp ratings we got here.. BUT the type R should still be about 10-15hp ahead judging from previous models. ie RSX 2005 - 210hp.

Civic Type-R != CSX Type-S

They may look the same but the difference is huge. We'll never get Type-R because it doesn't fit Acura's image.

Right what I was saying is that in Japan the car is rated using the old system. The type R may only put out 210-215 at the flywheel with our SAE standards.

That's really nice ... I wonder what the interior is like

Honda needs to save the Civic from the overly retarded design of the EP hatch. Or maybe they're going to put the shifter directly up the drivers ass on the next model, just to upgrade from the current dashboard style :rofl:
