JDM cup holders are in!

haha..... yeah I know it sounds pretty ricey..... ;)

But I got some of these HIGH QUALITY cup holders from a former legend forum member who lives in Japan. They are not the cheap crap "ToURinG tYpE S" from Crappy Tire that break after one drink and spill shit all over the place. They are made very well and can hold a med Mickey Ds milkshake :love:.

A bit pricey but they work well, the quality is there and the wood finish matches pretty good.

:werd: Damn G2's! My number one pet peeve with this car is the lack of cupholders. I'm not counting those 0.3mm deep indentations on the inside door of the glovebox as "cup holders". Whoever thought of those must have been dropped as a child!

Don't complain - G3's have the worst cupholders i've ever seen.

They are positioned in the worst place - right in front of the ashtray and stereo. Any med drink from McDonalds blocks the mechanical rotation of my faceplate. They cannot accomodate supersize drinks :D

I beg to differ, to use the so called cup holders in my car, you need to open the glove box, then rest the drink in the 0.3mm deep impression on the inside of the door. This is good if you're parked at Peter's for a milkshake. If you're driving either your drink will fall off right away and/or your shit in your glovebox will also fall out since the door is open! :nut:

Yeah not really much in the way of practical..... but the auto's did have them from 92 and up so I guess I traded the cup holders for a 6 speed tranny.:dunno:

I dont know what you guys are complaining about, at least you can look at your cupholders and its obvious that it wont hold a drink.
99-00 civic cupholders look like they will genuinely TRY to hold a cup. but dont be fooled, the second you make a turn that cups commin outta there.
And as if that wasnt enough they have just enough of a sidewall that when your cup is falling over it squeezes your drink in such a way that most fast food cups pop their lid completely off. I finally got pissed off enought to quit using them, but to ensure I wouldnt unwittingly put a cup in there again, I fab'ed them into dual gauge pods.

cupholder doesn't bother me since i don't eat or drink in my car. why risk a chance to mess up your pride? i do have a use for my cupholders though: to hold my parking permit and cellphone :D

I hear ya man..... when I had my first legend I bought those "TouRinG TypE S" from Canadian Tire and I put them above my console on the vents. It was not even like 2 days later and I had the stupid clips break and a whole pop spill all over my climate control and my stereo.

Pretty Hurt....

So I took it back to Crappy Tire and told them it was a piece of shit.... they gave my cash back...
