I like rap groups such as K-os, and Jedi Mind tricks.... can anyone recommend some other "underground"ish rap groups?
I'm really open to anything, except mainstream stuff. I've got more important things to worry about then bitches and hoes.

I dont know what classifies something as "underground", but lately I cant get enough of anything by Death Row Records. Some badass shit. The Pack is pretty tight too

Maybe try some old stuff:
A tribe called quest - Low end theory
De la soul - 3 feet high and rising
Gravediggaz - 6 feet deep
Madvillian

If you dont like mainstream, but want good production, beats and lyrics about something besides bitches and killing, you cant beat OutKast. Some of their newer stuff might be a bit too experimental but Aquemini and ATLiens are some of the best hip hop cd's ever dropped.

I have listened to all different types of rap during my phases including the Bitches and Hoes stuff. Some that I always respected are as follows. A couple of these would even be ok for my 13 year old daughter to listen to:
- Mos Def
- Gangstarr
- Guru
- The Roots
- Wyclef Jean (also others from the Fugees as well like: John Forte, Pras and even Lauren Hill)
- Talib Kweli
- A Tribe Called Quest
- De La Soul
- Outkast (more maint stream now but there older stuff like "Southernplayeristiccadillacfunkymusic" is good and a lot of stuff afterwards)
- Biz Markie
- Common
Those are just some I could think of. I have a whole whack of old rap CD's that I don't listen to often. Some are bad ones that are all about Bitches and Hoes which I should get rid of!
