Couple questions about a ticket I recieved

Hey guys, its not another one of those help me fight my ticket threads, just for some information. I recieved a ticket earlier tonight for "operating a motor vehicle with a expired license". I should have kept an eye on my expiry date but my beef right now is, Ive been at my address ever since before I got my license, and registered numerous cars, YET did not recieve my renewal notice in the mail. Hell, I even registered my current car after my license "expired", can you even register a vehicle with an expired license? How many demerits?



Here's my rant: Fuck you to the cop that gave me this ticket, you didn't wanna get in line for half a block to turn, so you drive to the front of the line and I have the common courtesy to let you in front of me u faggot. Had you stayed in line at the back you would have got to timmies faster than cutting into the front, then getting behind me in the parking lot and giving me a ticket.

Actually, I was really polite to him when he pulled me over, so no one answered my questions, is there any demerits? do they send you a renewal notice like the ones they send for registrations that are going to expire soon?

Theres a light that warns you when your low on gas, when your insurance needs to be renew they send a mail out, same with car registration. So it would only make sense that a mail would be mailed out when your licenses is about to expire.

Depending on when your licenses was expired, If it was recent in my opinion the cop should have gave you a warning. But usually the cop treats you differently depending on your age/sex/ethnicity. Being polite to the cop will make very little difference.

Someone should pass a law that for any first time offense, you get a warning. That goes on the system, and if you get pulled over for the same thing again, you get a ticket.... should reset every 2 years like demerits.

My License expires in one week which is also my birthday. I Did get a reminder notice in the mail around 2 weeks ago reminding me it was expiring. Not sure why you didn't get a notice but they do send them out.
