Got a question do you have to pay for the HD cable? or just the box and you get HDTV?

Currently i got digital cable. It is 10 bucks more per month to get the HD channels. BUT i gotta have that 384 dollar box. I am trying to find a cheap route to get the box

Actually, that's not quite accurate. Just having the box gives you access to 7 HD channels (soon to be more I think), the extra $10 gives you hd plus (tsn, sportsnet, NG, discovery etc.) Check out the packages here http://www.shaw.ca/en-ca/ProductsServices/Television/Digital/HDTV-Programming.htm (http://)

The cheapest way to get on is to buy a box off of ebay. I just bought another box off of ebay (6412 phase 1), it came without a HDD so by the time I added it it cost me just under $200. It was no problem at all getting shaw to add it, just be warned they give you no support and/or warranty of course.

PS: I also have a 6412 phase 3 box, the SD picture quality is much better on the p3 but it doesn't matter to me much because I watch 90% HD programming.
