Calgary Dave hosts live tournaments - I played in one of his last night.

He's got a wicked setup, pool table, multiple professional quality tables, good cards, good tournament software, good competition, a bar/fridge, and a nice spread of food (even though I only had a few pieces, Awesome THANKS!)

It was a 22 player turn out I believe, $50 freeze out, 30 minute blinds.

Not to toot my own horn, Im commenting more on the other players that attend my games. The level of play is quite high. Very fast games. Very tight on rules and ettiquette. We have current dealers, WSOP attendees, including one that has placed in the money at WSOP two years in a row.

The equipment used in all our home games, is on a par, if not better, than many Calgary Casinos.

When people play like that, all the skill is taken out of the game and replaced with pure luck.

But I guess if you all like playing with zero knowledge of how to play or how to bet its all good. ;)

Well first off, the only reason why you should be raising preflop like that is to eliminate players with a massive hand like AA, KK or AK.. with A/Q I would just limp in that spot...

How is raising 5 times the big blind a min raise?

Nobody on that particular hand had AA, KK or anything remotely like that. The one guy who ended up staying with me on that hand had A rag. I represented a straight with my bet, his calls were completely stupid.

Then I watched consistantly all of you limping in and then calling each other constantly with fucking nothing. It was just silly.

It came down to pure luck on pretty much every hand. The only way I could get guys to fold was to go all in pre flop.

You don't need to show me "what I did wrong" I play about 2 cash games a night and I "WIN" most or place 2nd.

I just wanted to vent, there is nothing you could say to convince me otherwise. ;)
