whats going on with the hood? Clear coat coming off?

Clear coat is coming off, some places down to the paint but no rust. The front bumper could also use a sanding and spraying. Would not be a hard job to do while installing the FMIC. And depending on how much longer I have the car for it will probably get done.

how's the roof? And is it just the hood and bumper that need new paint?

It's showing on the hatch, same thing the hood is doing but just right below the glass.
If you look on the pictures you can see some damage behind the driver side window, someone took a tire iron to the car, it is split on the car side of the door seam.
The roof has like pits, it's kinda weird looks like you would just take sand paper and take off the top layer of paint and just take some spraypaint to cover over the black.
The front bumer is a little rough. Could use a sanding and a new coat of paint.
And of course the hood which you can see in the pictures.

I'll take some more pictures of all of this if people would like.
I am 95% sure that is everything wrong with the exterior. But like I said, I want people to know what they are getting, so if you want any pictures, I have a 4mp camera and I have no problem putting up and angle or any pictures you want.

This post might get deleted, but FWIW, it isn't you fault. Mitsubishi and Chrysler painted the car really thin to save money. At most the paint from the factory on the roof was about 2.7 mils.

If the car was parked outside and not waxed frequently, the paint didn't stand a chance. If you wanted to make it look better you could try Meguiar's #7 show car glaze. It would last 2-3 days, but then it would return to its original shape.

You should considering lowering the price on your talon if you've been having little or not intrest on the car. 7,200 is alot for a talon of that age and the paint problems.

So the car needs to be repainted as well then.

Do people just love hating on a sale.
Did you read the posts? it says what the car needs.

BTW, I installed a new deck in the car....
Alpine CDA-9835 and all of the speakers are amplified through a MTX amp mounted on the back of one of the seats.

Yes, i read the post and no you werent honest. It doesnt say it need paint in your orginal ad,someone asked about the hood and then you mentioned it actually.I have a wtb ad, i am looking for a 1990 to 1994 talon and looked at this ad but was surprised you didnt mention it need paint ,when i saw the pictures and the price i just find the price is high for a car that needs a paint job.Maybe others would but i wouldnt drive a car that has different shades or is sunbeaten on certain parts. Not to pick on your car but the price is high as anyone who buys that car then has to fork out another $2000 to $4000 for paint.

Kay, I'll tell you what, tomorrow after work I will wash and dry off the car then take my better digital camera out and take detailed shots of the entire car and find somewhere to post full resolution unedited pics and you can come back and say the entire car needs a paint job. And no I didn't mention the paint in the original post, I just left pictures where you can see it. When someone asked, I posted honestly...
I'm sorry for trying to sell my car... maybe I should pay you to make at ad and sell it for me, because obviously you know my car so much better.
