Hey guys
I am just thinking about getting into bikes now, I have never riden one or anything. I plan on taking one of the bike schools this summer if I do end up deciding to buy a bike, but right now I am just looking at what I will need to spend.
I found a 1990 Yamaha FZR600 with 22,000 km on it for 3000. I was just wondering if these are goos bikes, and if this is a good price? Would this be a good starter bike?
Thanks
Dan

The price is average for a bike of that age and type. I'd see if he can do $2500 or so though. Their great bikes, actually the FZR line up is one of the very first production line up to utilize the "Deltabox" frame concept, meaning it has that beefy solid one piece aluminum frame that extends from the front triple tree mount to the rear swing arm mount. Up until the inception of your bike, it was only a concept used on GP bikes, since the early-eighties.

get it checked out
pay for an inspection, you don't want to be throwing a lot of unexpected money into the bike after buying it.
