It happened around 2:40pm friday.

We were driving southbound of Centre St/McKnight in the outer lane, when this guy in a van starts coming out of the small store/parking area to cross Centre St and go northbound.
I guess he didnt see me because when even I moved to the inner lane of Centre St to dodge him while trying to slow down from 60kmh he manages to hit me on the passenger side and rear panel of my civic.

We exchanged information, and reported to the cops and my insurance about it ASAP.

these pics were taken at the scene

Is it true that its harder/more expensive to repair a coupe than a 4 door?
And just to double check, but would this be 100% his fault?

He was pulling into the flow of traffic and he was also turning left,he is at fault. It appears that the damage is pretty bad to your car,I would say that the insurance company will write it off.

sunlight + pics taken with a bb pearl phone.

last 2 were taken with a digicam.

wish my car was orange instead of red tbh.

and thanks johnboy, I'm guessing a write-off too which is a shame cause I enjoy driving this car.

He is at fault because he is not able to make a left turn over solid yellow lines. He is making a illegal left turn.
You are only able to turn right from those stores.

Best of luck!

I guess accidents in a sedan have the probability that it's only damage in the doors. In a coupe it's amost always damage to the rear quarter panel which is much more expensive to replace.

Your car does look totalled though, replacing the quarter panel is at least $1500.

Heh heh don't put the blame on yourself. its not your fault.

Well 2 doors instead of 1 door would most likely have a higher cost.

If I remember correctly there definitely is no left turn allowed out of there so his insurance should be taking care of everything. Hopefully it covers everything and you get good Civ back
