Trojan advise (ie_updater.exe)

Hey I need help, I keep scanning and moving to virus vault, but it keeps appearing.

I am sure windows updates is turned on, but now it won't even let me open my system file to check.

so is a total reboot in order? and if so how do I wipe the old drive clean, I have partioned the boot up, and also a burnt copy of back up.

This is the 7 (found) trojan in 3 days, hum kids and game sites!

try searching or get an updated antivirus program like discussed in this thread.

Try using what you are using now and maybe Adaware in Windows Safemode.

A lot of those trojans are self replicating and half multiple versions of itself in different places. You could try running it several times.

Google some other good virus cleaners I sometimes find that using different cleaners find different problems.

Thanks for the help, I did a reboot, and finally noticed the "destroy all" button, instead just a windows reboot.

71 windows critical updates waiting for me, but I did save all my pic's this time.

So a question now, This laptop is working fine, but has lost windows update, how does one get that back?
