What do you think it's worth?

So I've been asked to sell someone's bike and I'm not real sure what I should be asking for it:

1982 Yamaha Virago 920
27,xxx km's

It's in average to good overall condition considering the age. It's mechanically sound and there are not any dents or severe scratches. The saddle is recently redone and everything (including the digital gauges) works.

Thoughts?

I dont think its a 920, as Yamaha never made a Virago 920 to the best of my knowledge, are you sure its a 920?
but I'd say $2250 seems to be the going rate, $1100-$3k is normal for a bike of that age and condition. :dunno:

yep, the xv was a 920, as well as several others in the virago line up.. 750, 500? I believe, dunno theres a bunch of different sized ones, 1100?.. And yeah 200 bux up to 3k is the going rate for old crusiers and they keep going up all the time actually... I like old crusiers more then the new ones myself, hope to pick something up sometime...

Definately a 920. I think most of them during the early '80s were 750 and later 1100's but 920 she be.

theres lots over the yrs, that aren't a general round number, kawi 454 for example was a 500cc bike, just labled that for a name..

Great photo. If it runs 100%, I would consider offering him 1500.

Not that it matters at this point but the bike was sold to the first guy that looked at it for $3000 (full asking price).
