Now, my car was still doing this last year, but now its more evident with the new DP, and a bit higher boost.
heres the new parts I installed :
ACT 6 Puck Clutch/ HD PP
Fidanza Aluminum flywheel
Brass shifter bushings
ARP flywheel bolts
Stainless clutch line
KO Downpipe
ATS TB inlet
UP Oil catch can
OEM release bearing
OEM pressure plate bolts
OEM Rear main seal
OEM tranny bolts
OEM Distributor ORing
Axle boots/gaskets
Steering rack
Rear wheel bearings
HKS IC Core-custom piping
HKS 3" Mushroom Filter
JDM Solid side moldings
New fender/side vent

So whats happening is that, car will get up to boost very quick (15psi) MBC, and hold it for a bit, then it dies off to around 11-12 psi around 6000 rpm. The ct20b should be able to pull all the way to redline. Now I dont know 100% that its a ct20b, it came on the car, doesnt have the ct26 stamping, just says toyota. Your guys help would be apprieciated. If I can get it to boost to redline,t his will definatley help my ET, it was still doing this last year when I did a 13.5 at 14psi.

How many bolts are on the exhaust side to hold teh DP on?

If you just installed a downpipe, there would be an extra stud on the turbo, that wasn't filled on the downpipe. (ct26 has one less stud than a ct20b)

What boost controller are you using?

Could it be some sort of ECU knock counter measure? Senses knock and so it opens the wastegate.
How old are the plugs (copper core right?)?

I have an EBC and it would drop boost off like that if anything wrong was sensed because of the fuzzy logic stuff. If I would throw it into high boost mode, it would go fine but low boost, it would do exactly what you're saying.

Bingo! Most evident way of telling whether you have a C26 or a C20.

Not to burst your bubble, but there are C26's out there just stamped as "TOYOTA". My guess is you have a C26 and are just unaware.

he pulled a 13.5 off tha tturbo.... that would be pretty hard on a ct26....

Im starting to think its the ct26.
The Ko downpipe only has 6 holes, and I didnt remove any studs from my turbo housing when I installed it.
I just remember seeing a ct26 that said had it stamped on it, then saw mine that didnt have anything, so I assumed it was ct20b, this was before I did research of course.
Oh well, I guess 13.5 on a ct26 in calgary is pretty good then. Lets see what I can do with the downpipe, and other goodies now....

Hmm, I find it very hard to believe a CT26 can pull those numbers in Calgary. Maybe its a modified 26...

Or, it could be the ct20b, and the 7th stud was removed on installation to keep the stock cat.

How can I really tell if its stock ct26, ct20b or modified?

Well I know my JDM engine came with the turbo stamped as CT26.

Best way to tell is to remove it and inspect it or count the number of studs/holes on the exhaust side.

thats why I thought I had a ct20b, cuz all of the ct26 that I have ever seen have been stamped with ct26......
I gotta adjust my boost today, with the new downpipe, its boosting up to 17.5 in 3rd right now, I havent touched the mbc from when it was set at 14psi.

99% sure its a ct26, Only 6 stud holes on the turbo side.... How can I tell if its modified.

Kinda hard to tell unless original owner tells yah exactly what was done. I'll take a random guess and say its a 60-1, as it seems to be a common choice when upgrading the C26. But only thing I can say is you're pretty craze shootin up to 17.5 PSI on that thing..C26 is a decent turbo, but wont last too long at that kinda PSI.

Ya man 15 is really the limit of the ct unless you have ghettobabys ct.

Well he might have a modded ct26. Running 13.5 in calgary on a regular ct26 is kinda unheard of....

With a bigger intercooler there is nothing wrong with boosting 17psi on the 26. I wouldn't do back to back blasts on it. I would let the intercooler cool down between runs. It won't hold 17psi to redline unless it is modified. But it should pull 17psi through the sweet spot with out any issues.

Are you still running the stock B pipe and exhaust?

No, in the list above I did ko downpipe, and I have garage fuki s80 exhaust. I find it only hits 17 on cool cool nights, but Im still turning it down for daily driving.
