Walk outside to my car about 15 minutes ago, and I find some assclown has broken into my car. This guy was obviously retarded, because my car has a completely stock stereo and sound system, and a club steering wheel lock. All they took was my personal shit.
This includes:
-my ipod charger that plugs into my cigarette lighter ($40)
-my cassette to plugin player thing that lets me listen to my ipod thru my cassette deck ($30)
-a flashlight ($15)
and this is the dumbest part, they took 1 pair of prescription glasses (really old and worthless to me) , and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses!!! ($250)
So unless this jackass has the exact same eye prescription as me, those sunglasses are completely worthless, and the guy is probably just gonna throw em out :banghead: . It pisses me off cuz I'm going to Europe in 5 days and I would really like to have some sunglasses to bring with me! frickin idiot.
They also pulled out my ashtray with all my change in it, dumped it out, and took all the coins except pennies, along with some hand moisturizer and a pocket knife.
At least they didn't damage my car, they somehow picked the lock and got in, but I'm guessing a 90 Integra isnt super hard to break into.

I'm just glad the only real thing of value they took was my sunglasses, could have been alot worse. Good thing I brought my iPod inside to charge it, rather than leave it in my car!!

oh yea, is it worth it to file a police report? My parents said I should but I know they won't be able to do shit...

LOL they took everything but the pennies? oh wow.. yeah it's rare for police to find stolen stuff especially when their small like sunglasses. You can try but i think it's just a waste of time.

Hahaha, sorry im not laughing at you , i had some stupid criminals brake into my car aslo. I think it was the same people that broke into it before. The 1st time around they took my Cd player and cut the wires before the harness( harness is still in my car) They left 3 pairs of good shoes and my Golf clubs which are worth about $1500. I couldn't believe they only took my Cd player:dunno: The second time around they made a complete mess and took about $6 in change and the cd's they didn't take the time before!

I feel your frustration with dumb shitz like that:banghead: , Anyways i hope you get some sunglasses for you trip to Europe!

I had my rear quarter window smashed in pineridge all for the change in my ash tray, left my deck cause I took the face in... tried to get into my truck through the back seats but realized they didn't fold down, and were too dumb to find the truck release button where my type r subs were..... and they took my maglight.... cost of window $200... items stolen $50... gay... I tried to do a stake out a week or two after.. but I waited in the bushes all night without much luck... I left my wallet on the dash and everything....

That's getting really common now.
I parked behind Beano off of 17th. Forgot to lock my door.
Lost a pair of sunglasses. All my CDs, most of which were burned discs. My cellphone headphones/mic. A mini LEd flashlight.
They left my JVC stereo, that I left the faceplate on. Yet, they took the carrying box for the faceplate from the glovebox

Another time in my dad's car, in Cresent heights area, lost a cordless drill, a pile of change and stack of CT money.

My mom's friend, had her car broken into before Valentine's day, for a $5 bouquet of flowers. The thief was unsuccessful, and the car was left with $$$ in damage to the doors.

My bro used to live downtown. Thief got into the parkade, went to EVERY car and stolen change and CDs. Every car was damaged.

Probably a lot of punks, crackwhores wandering around for money and shit to sell to off.

Keep your car clean and free of ANYTHING. Basically anything is of value to these thieves.

BTW, CDs worthless, as pawnshops, Tramps and Cash Converters don't even take them. It's illegal to buy CDs, DVDs, etc with out the original cases. So why would anyone steal CDs?? Which is odd cuz EBgames buys back games without cases...

The good news (besides the fact my car is undamaged) is that they didn't take my "420 goodies" ;) , I had those hidden away in a secret place that they didn't find. Time to start locking my shit in my glovebox though.
Thanks for all the support though, I know this break-in pales in comparison to some of the crimes that happen daily in this city, but I just thought it was hilarious that someone would steal not one but two pairs of prescription glasses. I hope they try and wear em and it gives them a headache!

My mom's 2004 Mazda 3 was broken into twice in the last 3 weeks in front of my parents house.

Both times on the driver side and they dented just above the door handle twice.

Mazda is installing the plates inside the door to stop this this week but she also lost some prescription glasses, some change and a few cds.

I used to work in this buildding on 17th ave that had an open underground garage. The crack heads were down there 24/7. Also there was this homeless guy called the Saskquatch. He was just huge and walked like a ape... My boss had his blazer broken into 3 times. And everytime they smashed the rear 1/4 window... a really expensive window to replace...

The best way to fight it is not have anything in there worth taking. They don't need to break windows. this is really scary:

Insurance companies wont cover most break-ins done this way.

Same with my mom's 05 Mazda 3. Do you know if theres a recall? Its kind of ridiculous that you can smash the door and it opens.

Now we have a nice dent to deal with to. :guns:

I don't think there's a recall, but I think there is a dealer repair program in place (it's like a recall, but they don't actively hunt you down for it)

Tell your buddy to change the locks on his house. If the thief was smart enough to get the address, then buddy's house could be next.

It's almost better not locking the doors and leaving all the bins and trays open with nothing for them to take.

Also, as pointless as it may sound, remember to report these break ins to the police. And tell everyone about it, there isn't enough public awareness about this crap happening.

This happened down in the Kelowna, BC area a couple of months back. Someone broke into their truck when the owners were at the park. By the time they got home someone had already ransacked their house and stuff some shit. Police are saying now not to keep anything in you car with your address etc on it.

Don't leave your registration, insurance or garage door opener in your car either.

Had a civic stolen, someone called saying they found it (it was for sale with our phone number on it) it was at the other end of the city from where we live. Not being sure who was really calling we called the cops and had a friend sit at our house while we went to check it out just in case. They did take the garage opener from the car along with various other items.

Turns out in the end we never updated the address on either the insurance or the registration(which is a ticketable offence apparently not to update it) so was no biggie.

On a funnier note the car alarm went off the other day and the pager was beeping so I went out to check it as it never goes off unless it is being seriously messed with. Didn't see anything then heard some strange noises-three humping rabbits had run under it and set it off. Silly Rabbits.

Call up any Mazda dealership, and ask them if there's a service program in place for the locks on the Mazda 3. I'm not completely sure if there is, but I think there might be.

There is a program by Mazda that inserts a metal plate above the handle to reinforce the area. Also they add a sticker to the window. We have repaired the dents on 7 Mazda 3's and and one Mazda 5 in the last 10 days using paintless dent repair. This is very bad news for Mazda owners.

Ask them to install shock sensor for free too.

F'king break-ins are worse than getting your car stolen.

Someone broke into my old car last year too. F'ker took my old sunglasses which are worth like nothing. Took my street map and my bank card with a few bucks in my account. Luckily there wasn't much damage to the lock, my car is sold and it's history.

We should make a law to run those f'kers hands thru a wood chipper.

I wish Mazda would put out a recall--if thieves knew that most were fixed, maybe they would stop denting the door panels in.

Do they really add the sticker? Every site I can find says that they don't.

just so you guys know there is no sticker that goes on. Just a updated part that we put in the door and on "some" models we upgrade the shock sensor. I actually work at mazda just fyi.

Years ago in Red Deer during the middle of winter some guy tried to break into my car. The alarm went off at like 2am, I ran outside and could see his footprints in the snow The dog we had at the time was an exRCMP German Sheppard.. I sent the dog after the tracks.. He caught up to the guy and tore the hell out of his arm. I arrived to see the dude in the snow, bleeding everywhere and in tears. Police showed up and hauled him away.. so yah a badass dog is the best way to protect your belongings.

My car was broken into a little while ago, Everything from my center consol and glove box was dumped out everywhere. I consider myself pretty lucky when they didn't even take my Radar detector, cd player, new passport, and about $1000 worth of tools in the trunk. To my knowledge nothing was stolen.

my vehicle got broken into in feburary I had some stuff in it that I had not got to unload yet ant someone got in and got clost to 2 grand of stuff. I accepted that as a loss and as a lesson learned . I now keep nothing in my vehicle and in the last two weeks I have had 3 attempted break ins by some what Im sure are kids who decided to learn on my truck. The only positive of those is now the only way to unlock the doors is with the remote, hopefully they dont start breaking windows.
