i have seen on here the the website to look for a job but i was wondering if any one on here works or knows someone who is hiring construction workers mostly in framing and willing to train apprentices.

if anyone knows of any good framing companies that would be great.

your best bet is to look in the skilled and trades section in the paper. every place is hiring since calgary is building houses like crazy. but not to knock what you want to do. i suggest looking into a different trade.

You could try heading down to Pac West and call a couple companies that have "Framers Wanted" signs on their Billboard, and simply asking if they are willing to Train, with the crazy shortage of Framers in the City you should have some luck.

Good grief...walk into any construction site with your steel toes, hard had and pouch and you'll get hired immediately at $15 bucks an hour. If thats too much work: two clicks on the Herald's site brings up 215 help wanted (http://workingcalgaryjobs.canada.com/js.php?qInd=categoryconstruction&lookid=calgary&qCity=Calgary&qState=AB&qMiles=100) (<clicky clicky) ads in construction. If you've got any type of framing skills you can get hired immediately at minimum $20/hr. $25 and up if you can be left on your own.
