Do you have the M42 screw mount for this lens? If so, this lens can also be used by non-Canon shooters as well (ie: Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, etc...) with the proper adapter. Adapters usually run for about $10-15 on eBay. Just search for M42 adapters for your mount.
Note: some bodies won't fire the shutter unless you have electronic contacts on the mount (ie: some Nikons, I think?), so double check.
Very fun lens!
Thanks for pointing that out. This has the m42 screw mount adapter for canon, but can be used with other bodies with a different adapter.
re-evaluated and this lens needs a good home

All Nikon DSLR's should be fine, you just have to shoot in M mode, obviously. You can fire the shutter without even having a lens attached at all.
will also consider trades + $$ for a canon 50 f1.4
Um .. Interesting .. I can think about it ...
I think u sold your 50mm 1.4 not too long ago ??
any pic sample?? not sure how it looks on 1.6x and FF ..
thx
yeah, I had a 50 1.4 before and I sold it. Would also consider an 85 1.8 as well. Another lens I've had and sold in the past.
I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. Or if D'z Nutz would oblige again with some of his samples to give you an idea of the 8mm on a 1.6 crop. I have no FF samples though.
good .. looking forward to see the pic ..
Oh .. you shouldn't sell the 50 1.4 and 85 1.8 .. both awesome lens .. :)

yeah I really regret selling the 85. I have a 50 1.8 mkI and at the same aperatures it performs as well as the 50 1.4, but the focus motor is buzzy, and the bokeh isn't as nice. I'm going to be doing more portraits, so the nicer bokeh is a worth while investment at this time.

On full frame, the image is completely circular.
