look it up in the canadatrader. My claim adjuster litterally looked on canadatrader while i was on the other line and gave me a number that i was more than willing to accept.

lets hope you paid less than market value on youre car. I paid 16 500 for my gti wrote it off and got 20 k from ins. ( having teggypimps GTI on the market actually was the reason i got so much for my car, thanx man:thumbsup:

If you go to the Toyota website you can get a quote on your trade in value.

Toyota wont give you a black book value(your car is too old for black book, it goes as old as 15 years) you will need a grey book, you can buy one of those from Regal Auctions Ltd - 403-250-1995, i hope this helps you out!

You can argue up, yes. Especially if what they are offering you is lower than what you can get your same car for in the Canada Trader.

My words when my car was written off, and they low balled me...

"The same car with twice the km is going for $1500 more... "

"There was nothing wrong with my car as I've taken care of it for 3 years, and god knows what problems I'll be getting into when I get another one"

etc. etc. etc.

The car is worthless as far as the automarket is concerned, sucks when you have an older sports car in nice shape. The insurance adjuster SHOULD take the blue book price along with the current market price and come to a middle point.
