I'm looking for a good series of anime to keep me entertained while I wait for other anime episodes to release. Can anyone point me towards a couple they have enjoyed? Currently I'm watching popular series like Naruto & Bleach. But would like to see more different types. It must be series, either still ongoing or has ended. Genre doesn't really matter.

Gantz is pretty good same with guyver, samurai 7, bushido( i think thats wat its called), evangelion is kinda good , rahxephon is awosme, samurai champloo, macross plus, voices of a distant star and thats all i got so far but there all real awsome animes enjoy:D

I just got basilisk. I saw the movie Shinobi - Heart Under Blade which is what it is based on. I don't watch a lot of anime but some that I've liked are:

Gundam Seed
Gundam Seed Destiny
Inuyasha

I don't particularly like to do a lot of subtitle reading so these ones have been english dubbed.

I just got the Death Note movies and that one looks somewhat interesting too.

Death Note, Berserk and gungrave.. I watched all of Gungrave (26 episodes = 13 hours) in one day because I couldn't stop watching. Not even Entourage is that interesting.

With the responses you're getting, you have the luxury of picking and choosing your genre. What do you like to watch? Without knowing that, I'll still recommend some awesome ones:

Death Note - A higher-level mental thriller. Makes you fall out of your chair all the time due to awesomeness.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Death Note with mechas. What more do you want?

Hellsing - short, dark and all-around kickass vampire anime.

Shaman King - very shonen, like Naruto and Bleach. Excellent blend of humor and action.

Hunter X Hunter - my personal favorite. Unforgettable characters, great themes and smart action.

Yeah, Ghost in a Shell: Stand Alone Complex is pretty good. If you're into the newer animes (better animation, still good plot, etc.), I personally like Speed Grapher.

I also recently got into 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' as well. :thumbsup:
