Especially when Deerfoot is in Hydroplane-Happy mode. Thanks to those of you who drove with a brain today, and fuck all you buggers whipping down the roads.

I think its mostly the newer cars that have the dash that is already lit up during the day (2003+ accords come to mind since I just saw one)

The stupid owners think their lights are already on since their dashes are lit. FRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIICCCCCCCCKKKKK:thumbsdow

I agree. I've seen a couple newer Civics with their dash lights on but no headlights.

the US has a law that requires you to turn on your headlights when it's raining outside...that's a smart idea. we need something like that

I happen to own one myself, but don't understand how people are that stupid. The guages in the new civic HAVE to be lit during the day because the speedo is digital, and the monster tach needs backlighting. Its not a hard concept for people to get, I mean - inside lights on all the time, outside lights on when you turn them on.

Interesting I was just going to post something related to this today..

I was driving home on Crowchild and noticed a white RHD Nissan 300Z.. Now, obviously this is an imported car but the car didn't have his lights on which meant no daytime running lights. My understanding is that to register a car into the import car registry it had to have daytime running lights..

This is very dangerous guys.. First thing you do when you get in your car you have to turn on your lights no matter what.. Not to mention, I think cars look better with their lights on :)

Since that alot of people don't use their signals either I think that they should have those automatically too. If people weren't in such a hurry home to f*** then this wouldn't be such a problem lol.

what's the big deal Calgary Polce Service disables the headlight on their cars so they aren't so visible.

It's done for the safety of other drivers on the road, so to be save have your vehicles modified also so there are no forward lights on during the daytime.

Auto-headlights aren't going to turn on normally if it's still bright outside, but the kicked-up water from the road is obstructing visibility.

How would automatic signalers work? Signals are for showing you are going to turn BEFORE you are going to turn, not during. Plus, if they were automatic everytime you rounded a curve they would turn on.
Problem is people just don't use common sense when it comes to signalling (not signalling = a pet peeve of mine)
