Its an 87 GL, sunroof car, 1.8 8v CIS 5speed power steering.
Motor is out of an 91 gti 170xxx kms (compression is 150psi across the board), new sachs clutch and 16V pressure plate. Has an abd big bore intake, k&n, 2.5 inch exhaust.
Interior is a black and grey leatherette out of an 86 GLI (MINT dash) and matching seats out of an 87 Carat. white faced LED lit gauges, good stereo (6.5 inch 2 ways mounted in doors, alpine compontents on rear deck, 2 10 inch subs), momo wheel, pedals, shifter and ebrake cover, MK3 center console.
Body has ZERO rust. Brand new windshield. Has a molded in Zender body kit, big bumpers (shaved texture on the bumpers) VR6 front lip, badgeless Aero grill with eyebrow, Ecode headlights and is painted bright white. (whitest white i could get my hands on, single stage acrylic enamel (6 coats)). MKIII handles.
Has FK coilovers, rear disk brake swap, New pads and rotors in the front, 17 inch wheels (tires are about 40%), strut tower braces front and rear.
The car placed 3rd in its class at world of wheels this year.
Now the car was in a fender bender with one of the previous owners so it has a rebuilt status (we all know what value insurance companys put on these cars),it has passed its insurance inspection with no problems, drives straight and true. Odometer says 165000km on the chassis and the reason the engine was replaced is low car+raised manhole cover=dented oil pan, created low oil pressure and spun a main bearing. i bought it with the blown motor and swapped in the new one.
