Very nice car, were you considering any other cars before you bought the BMW, or was it just a BMW 335i or nothing? I really like some of it's competition as well and was just wondering what made you choose the 335i.

Nice to see that color combo in real life. That's exactly the combo I would get if I went with a 335, albeit with the standard rims, not really fond of the 5 spoke. Which dealership did you go through? When I went to the one in crowfoot and asked about the red interior the salesman said they didn't offer that color even though I had configured it on their site :dunno:

Most BMW salesmen are dumbasses. They don't know shit all about the product they are selling; which is alright. But don't lie and say that it isn't or is offered... GO CHECK AND FIND OUT. Works with non-car enthusiasts who just want to buy a BMW for the badge, but not people who research the car they want to buy before hand.

I can ponder a guess... twin turbo + simple ECU reflash or piggyback ECU like Vishnu PROCEDE, and all of a sudden you have a car that is approaching E60 M5 & E63 M6 territory. The current version of PROCEDE adds ~60hp & 60lb ft, takes less than 30 minutes to install, and only costs $1300USD.

There have been lots of races between M5/M6's and PROCEDE tuned 335i's. The 335i keeps up with the M's in 1st-3rd gear all the way up to 100mph, after that the M's pull away due to gearing.

Can't wait until the new M3 is released, then we will see if the PROCEDE tuned 335i's can hold it's ground. Because based on the released specs of the new V8 M3 engine, a PROCEDE tuned 335i should walk all over the M3. The peak torque of the PROCEDE tuned 335i comes in much earlier than the high revving M3 V8.

Which exhaust & ECU combo are you going with?

If I were you, I would go with PROcede. The recently released Stage One tuning offers close to ~400hp at the crank @ ~13 to 14psi. Beta testing for version 2 started this week, and should be coming out sometime within the next few months.

I considered the competitors too but once I drove the the E90 it was clear which I had to go with ;) even though mine is the lot slower version. :(
