I was just wondering if anyone has any reccomendations for a camp ground. There would just be a few of us going, and we will be staying in a tent, probably just for 1 night. I would rather be somewhere where you have a little bit of trees between each camp site, not like most RV sites that have absolutly none.
Or am I going to be screwed since I didn't book anything more in advance?

And I know everyone likes to go out with the quads and booze for May long, I would rather be somewhere a little more quiet

Check out Waterton Lakes, best camping IMO, lots to do.

Waterton is awesome...but to travel for 6 hours for only one night of camping??
Check out Kananaskis area (Mt Kidd campground) or Johnston Canyon area. both are about an hours drive. And very nice campsites and quiet. Lots of trees.
Check out: http://www.cd.gov.ab.ca/enjoying_alberta/parks/featured/kananaskis/camping.asp for camping info.

also a good MAP of campsites (http://www.cd.gov.ab.ca/enjoying_alberta/parks/featured/kananaskis/pdfs/PLPPMap.pdf)

just went to kananaskis country last weekend, nice and quiet. We went to this site just 3 minutes before Lac des Arc, nice view and lots of trees and a nice open space as well. About a 45min drive from calgary.

Glennifer Lake isn't bad either.
