Why no MR2 Spyder in Canada?

Can anyone pls explain why we can't bring down MR2 Spyder and GTO from the states? Why are they banned from Canada? I never understood that. :dunno:

At least for the GTO, it's the same bumper issue in low speed impacts, kinda like with the mitsu evo.

It never met Canada crash standards with the bumpers and seat belts.
