Anyone know of the best way to get rid of construction garbage? i.e. cardboard boxes, insulation, tiles, hardwood, etc. It's essentially just all garbage but I've got about half a garage full. Should I do a waste bin? Or just call up one of those garbage places that haul everything away? I've pretty much got it packed up good so it wouldn't take me too much effort to dump it in a bin. I'm hoping I can get rid of it all for less than $200. I've already seen people try to advertise for people to do this for them but I'm not sure if they've had success doing it this way. I'm just wondering if other people have already gone through this process and can recommend something economical. Thanks.

If u got some free time what you can do is, go out to Uhaul and rent one of their trailer things.
Pack it up as much as you can get then drive down to the city dump. Depending on what your getting rid of they have different rates. If you do it this way im sure it'll cost less then $200.00

Hmmmm...I just called Budget waste and they can provide an 8 cubic yard bin with up to 1.5 tonnes for $240 all inclusive i.e. drop off and pick up. Anyone used another bin drop off service?

When I tore my basement down, I had 10,000 lbs of waste (literally)

I got quoted $1500 from "gotjunk", said screw that.

Rented a 20' moving truck, and got 2 friends to help (suckers, lol).

Cost $100 for the truck, $250 for the landfill, and a case of beer for my friends.

(oh, and overloaded the truck by 2500 lbs, lol)

Assuming you have MUCH less than 5 tonnes of trash, this would be your cheapest way.

Go and find one of the million garbage bins around for construction sites.

Well, only problem is that I don't want to haul my garbage down the street or everywhere, just want to get it done and over with. If it's a bag or two or three that's fine but when I can pretty much fill close to 8 cubic yards of garbage, that's not so easy to distribute everywhere.
