Just a few questions on if this is worth my time. I am pretty sure my automatic transmission is going. When I'm driving it will get power, kick out, get power, kick out, but it seems to be doing it right as it would be shifting. Before it had some problems shifting into high gear on the highway, and just refused to shift into it in the first place, so this is why I'm most likely thinking thats the problem.

Anyways, it's a 91 Chevy S10. I paid 3000 for it, and I am curious, is this worth fixing, or should I sell. The engine has 33X,XXX KMS on it but still runs strong, body has very very little rust, whole front end parts (tie end rods, etc.) have been replaced, and its a 5/7 drop (properly done with spindles and bell tech drop shocks) How much would I be able to get for this with the tranny fucked? I'm curious on is it worth my time fixing it or selling it?

Coles Notes: How much will it cost to rebuild or replace a 91 Chevy S10 Automatic Transmission?

Pick-N-Pull Russ, the only way its going to be worth it is if you can find a cheap used tranny.

woohoo I'm an idiot!
So it wasn't the tranny... it was vapor lock lol. Filled it up this morning and runs fine again! I figured in the first place it was the tranny because it seemed to be doing it when it wanted to shift.
:D
