He is thinking since the EVO is not allowed to be in Canada, that possibly the engine is not either.


The answer would be yes. You can import just the engine. The reason why the EVO's weren't allowed in Canada is because they did not pass Crash Ratings/Seatbelt standards.


If you want to import an engine from the States, by all means, there is no stopping you.




If you are talking about older Evo's (ie. 92) Yes. They would be allowed to be imported as well.

Not true......the EVO VIII is perfectly safe and has nothing to due with what you posted........when in a slow speed front end collision, the $$ required to fix the FMIC were higher than Canadian insurance companies were willing to pay, so the car was never brought to Canada.....
