If the deal for the 240SX falls through, just look for another 240SX.

240, crx, 90-96 civic hb, integra, 5.0 stang...those would be my picks

Sports car?

AW11 MR2, 200SX turbo (S12), S13, AE86 corolla, 2nd gen RX7, 5L Mustang, XR4Ti, Volvo 242GT all come to mind.

be careful about the S12... the chassis ain't that great.. you'd be looking at a pretty neat project car tho... roll-cage needed to keep the car in tact lol.
the AE86 is a better buy in this case.

dont waste your money on an ae86. you'll be bored with it in no time.

A 4AGZE AW11 is hard to find for under 6 grand, I doubt he can find an SW20 for that price.

And the S12's chassis is perfectly fine. Plus you set yourself up for much better engines than an AE86, like a CA18DET or any of the rear drive SR20 lineup.

im not sure about the s12 , i really want an good rwd car, and im looking to getting into drifting so an ae86 may work out good, but i think for the time being ill work on getting a 240sx :D

oops sorry about not paying attention to the price tag... lol - my bad.
the S12 has a CA18ET... no "D"...
if you get a 240SX you can always ponder the CA18DET route... i think there is only one 240 in calgary with one... it's supposedly better than the SR20.... i have to see it to believe it. but from what i researched a while back it actually has a lot more potential....
stock turbo could go up to 270hp with several minor mods. but at that hp you're pushing like 17psi or something like that.

read better - that's what I said, you set yourself up for a ca18det or sr20. North america did only get the less impressive sohc model.

The CA18DET has some advantages over the SR20DET, like 2 stage intake runners and an iron block (hence, more boost and power) It also has a timing belt, so you don't have to worry about metal fatigue on the timing chain and a snapped chain ripping through your engine bay. The SR20DET has a lot better following though, more aftermarket, more info, and does have better low end due to the larger displacement. It comes down to personal preferance.

i never thought of putting the ca18det in there, but it dose sound like it has some advantages, but i think id go wiht the sr20det swap. it dosnet really makes sence to put a lower displacement engine in.. But it would definatly be cheaper then an sr20det:thumbsup:
