anyone into tattooing?

I recieved a tattoo kit as a gift and i am preatty sure i have set it up correctly but the thing is that it wont run. i have it connected to the power source properly and everything. i have seen in a couple of other forums the same thing happen to other people, but havent gotten an answer yet on how to fix this problem.

not really, maybe on some fake skin. Ive been getting tattooed atleast once a month since i was 15 and even my artist told me all the dangers in tattooing without proper training, and last thing i want is to get sued for fucking up someones skin
