I need a haircut during my break tommorow at work, but I have no idea of a reasonably priced place to go. Angles seems natural but they are pretty expensive (ie. $35 after tip), I am looking for something good around $20 in downtown near TD.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

There is a place on 8th ave right beside Bang & Olufsen, its called Aveda, they don't charge much because its a learning school as well as hair salon.

They're in Watermark Towers, I go there myself, ask for either Rosy or Elaine.

+1 for Evolution. Rosy is great girl  However I always go with Erin. I don't think you'll find any walk in time though as I end up having to book a month in advanced. Worth the try though.

There is one on the main floor in the Scotia Centre just in front of the Macdonalds which is pretty good!

Thanks for the help guys.

I went to Mondo Bello, decent at best haircut, and the price listed on the website was $25 which I found reasonable, however, when I went to pay the lady (not Jocelyn) charged me $34, and "conveniently" didn't have change. I would have stayed and complained about it but I was running late for work.
Jocelyn was pretty cute though, too bad I didn't get her!

The place in Scotia Center ground floor is pretty whatever random joint for standard hair cuts. Your better off going to a Ultracuts or something along those lines if thats what your after.

Really? The Angles in TD up by the food court on the 4th floor charged my boyfriend $70 for a haircut (and it wasn't even that good). This was a few years ago too. I think they'll try charging you whatever they think they can get away with since they don't really openly post their rates.

I could understand the different rates depending on the stylist (junior vs senior) but that's pretty odd.

i dont mean to jump off topic, but i used to go to "the fix" in mount royal plaza, (before i went bald), they were italian boys, the greatist cuts ive ever seen came from there.. are they still there???

^Dunno ...

Just to keep everyone in the loop I went to the AVEDA salon on 8th which is bascially a school nad got a cut from a student. FOr $25 you get all kinds of pampering so the value is great ... but they are damn slow, a shorter mens cut took 90 mins all in. If you've got the time its great, the cut was pretty damn good, there was a teacher basially watching every move.

There used to be a Mount Royal salon school is on 8th and 10th street basically right off of the 10st C-Train Station. Same as what pinoyhero says. It was a good price but really slow because it was students doing the cuts.

pinoyhero is there were AVEDA is? Maybe it is the same place but AVEDA manages it now
