1996 to 2000 Range Rover Review

Just wondering if anybody has owned one or has had direct experience with one. I've heard mixed comments about those.
It's for the wife and it won't get driven very much! I just don't want to buy a minivan:banghead:

Dont get it. My good friend who was also my neighbour had one. This gave me the chance to see it regularily, ride in it, and even drive it many times over the few years he had it, or at least when it wasnt in the shop.

They look decent, very nice inside and ride good, but something mechanically/electronically goes wrong at least once a month. Whenever something does go wrong, its a complete dealership rape job to get it fixed. It guzzles gas like their is no tommorow and yet doesnt accelerate or perform like you would expect.

I think my friend bought it because he was surprised and didnt stop to think why he could get a Range Rover for only low 20's. He probably spent at least $10-15 grand doing repairs in the short time he had it.
