They will start using PNG format more often. The thing about PNG is that its not compatible with everything right now. They are working on it so that it will be compatible with everything. When they do the major picture formats will reign GIF and PNG

Considering that the ISO comity is blowing their claims out of the water and fighting back based on the fact that the JPEG patent would expire in 2004... you can feel about as threatened by this as you might take an ant.

People blow things out of the water so easily...

lol, .PNG is just another format of an image (Like .BMP, .GIF, .JPG).

And ISO is the International Organization for Standardization.
