To be honest I am sick of people pulling up beside me trying to race or even just asking me what's under the hood? at gas stations all the time, shopping centres, carwashes "What's under the hood" etc. etc. At first it was cool & friendly but now it's getting to point where I would like some privacy. Frequently strangers will get my attention just to ask me about my car & it's components, and sometimes I just don't want to tell them. Besides getting annoyed in general, I'm also quite paranoid that maybe they're wanting to steal my car or break into it.

People who have to ask questions about a mainstream car know nothing about vehicles, just tell them its an acura and end the conversation..its not worth the time

I agree with Talies R though. I've had previous cars that would attract the attention of everyone. I'd have 40 year old mid-life-crisis dads come up to me and ask every little detail, including questions such as "how did you weld and connect those bends in the air filter pipe?" and "does that purple cone on that pipe help the engine?". The solution if you don't like that much attention is to go with a sleeper car.

At least its a somewhat intelligent question. For 6 months after I got my Impreza I had people asking me what body kit I had on my civic :rolleyes:

I always get the same question: "Does that have the 5.0 in it?" I don't mind answering though, maybe because I don't get that many questions--probably would if my car was flashier :dunno: .

I'm going to ask all ITR drivers I see from now on what's under their hood until I get to Talies R , just to piss him off :D .

people comment on my car everyday, but they never ask whats under the hood. just ask "what kind of car is that?!"

I say its a VW Golf and the usual response is "wow.. i thought they only made those beetle things" :rolleyes:

if u have a nice car with nice shit on it...Expect people asking u questions about ur car...if u dont like it ...take all that flashie shit off...and if ur body is stock but ur engine is modded to hell and they ask.."whtus under ur hood" tell them they'll have to find out the hard way...if not juss ignore them..

actually it happens alot because of the exhaust note my car has.

I would say in a given week I get asked about 6-7 times.
