That looks like the standard american chevy white rental truck, with a little bit of power under the hood. :dunno:

dont under-estimate those chevys, theres a guy that used to come to the street races, and i think everything that could be done to that engine under the hood was done, i would estimate low 14's to high 13s

body looked just like that, plain jane, nothing special....under the hood was a different story

no way.. my bumper is the best for picnics. hands down.

I've seen a couple of those blazers... they're actually very nice looking. I like the style cues they've given it.. it's typical american truck looking, taking notes from the trucks from GM's lineup.

Most of the new guys on beyond are complete idiots and the opposite of funny, but man. You really are at the head of this new wave of Beyond, and you really should be ashamed of that.

No disagreement here! ;)

But back on topic, SS Trailblazers are great. Not quite as cool as Sy/Tys, but cool nonetheless.

Yeah it's an SUV that only runs a 14 second quarter mile out of the box

for the size of that engine you would think it would be silly fast. its like .5 sec faster than a SRX. and cant touch a SRT8 jeep with the same size engine.

stupid engineering if you ask me

That hemi Jeep was most likely picking on a regular trailblazer. Man some of these comments on here are hilarious.

Nice truck, how is the truck at Racecity? (I think someone here said they seen one there) Are they 14s low mid or high? I've seen tests of high 13s to low 14s, but I'm sure the elevation here is much higher! lol

The awd version has had runs of 5.3 0-60, for an SUV thats rather quick. Heck, for a car thats quick.

That makes all the difference in the price. Although, I'd be happy with the 5k on the clock for the right price :)

Watched one run the full road course at Race City.
He actually did pretty good with it, not as fast as his 944 turbo but still not too shabby.

Yeah these threads are funny. The ss is one speedy suv and thank god its not as generically ugly as the honda pilot.

Where did your uncle buy his SS from? I've been calling all over the US and I can't find a Chev dealer that will sell me a new SS.

PS: I know everyone has an option on the vehicle they like, but I can tell you first hand that the SS would blow the doors off those toy Honda's with their noisy mufflers. If you want to hear your car, then buy something with some guts! Sorry, just had to rant...!

srt8 GC's run mid-high 13's in calgary, the ss is alright but i really wish they stuck with the TT inline 6 they had in the concept version of it.

GC SRT 8 is a lot faster than a TB SS. 1 second better to 60 and 2.6 faster to 100.

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/10848/2006-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8.html

0-60 in 4.5 s

faster or not, both car and driver and motor trend picked the TB SS over the SRT8

I really like the Trailblazer SS except, I liked the body better on the gen prior to the new one, and your right the IL 6 TT version was nutty:burnout:

Also the Trailblazer SS is a real SUV that you can actually use to tow something...oh say taking your boat to the lake for the weekend...Those SRT-8 Jeeps are cool and faster but those smart chaps at dodge/jeep put the exhaust where the hitch should be??? which makes it a useless SUV in my books...you might as well buy the magnum SRT-8 anyhow that my 2 cents !
