What are Race City's rules regarding taking passengers down the drag strip? I emailed them, but have yet to get a response on the matter.

i heard this year there bitches about passangers, they told my friend that he couldnt exceed 80mph with a passanger last week at secret street. once you hit 80mph you have to let off the rest of the length of the track.

Go all out until the very end. Get on brakes just before the 1/4 mile. ;)

Uhhh, no 80 MILES PER HOUR.

You think all these guys are happy when they hit 100km/h on the 1/4 mile?

80mph is still at about 120 kmph, thats not fast but its not slow either, i still think its a gay rule but...

Oh yes, it's completely retarded, I don't see why they do it. I can understand the "2 people only down the track" thing, but it's actually SAFER to have them both in one car, one can't go careening into the other. Their 80mph rule is probably so the passenger can at least have the experience of the 1/4 mile for most of the track.

just pick one run to go all out on. make it a good one cuz it will be your last run of the night.

Because if someone ever looses control and absolutely smashes their car, or the other car, killing the passengers, and the media is screaming "Why didnt they take precautions" Race City can save face and say they did. Plus its at no cost to them.

that is slow. some people have been known to do 0-80mph on the on ramp from Shaganappi onto Crowchild.

Considering that any car in the 13s usually hits 100mph, many cars would be letting off way early.

^^^ yes i realize that, its why i said its not fast but not slow either...

it is most likely due to the tracks insurance that they have those restrictions in place.
