Sounds like your clutch cable or worst case scenario your clutch plates, but I am pretty sure your stretched the cable and now it is not engaging correctly anymore. Is the bike still under warrenty? I would take it to a shop and see what they say.

yea it has a 3 year warranty still.
i jsut read a thread somwhere else and they said
it might be the disconnected clutch switch?

bah.. You only need one thread on this, people will see it in the bike section..

As for a clutch switch? I'm not up on the new gixxers but in the history of bikes, all the clutch switch did was allow you to start the bike in gear, as long as you had the clutch pulled in, possibly even with the kickstand down, but theres another switch on it, so only some bikes could start that way.. Nothing to do with the clutch slipping..
