I'd be willing to sell the xbox, with the controllers, and the DVD remote, no games, because it is hard to part out items of this sort. But let me know maybe we can work something out.

Well if he buys the xbox, Ill take the controllers and the DVD remote, if the controllers are type S that is.

only one of the controllers are type S, the other is a regular Xbox controller, but still waiting on this guy about the unit itself

Hi,

Newbie ques. but what does moded mean? Does it mean you put a chip in there that allows 'things' to be recorded right into the xbox? If so what is the memory in the xbox? Thanks in advance.

modded means you can play ripped games on your xbox. The thing in the console means that you can actually burn games in the xbox, so if ur friend has a game that you want you can get it by burning it in your xbox!

Yeah, a mod chip means you can run insigned code, you can do many different things with a modchip in your xbox, from playing Mp3s to Divx, to Mpeg, from Emulators, to even installing Windows or linux on it, you can either burn the games to the xbox HD and play them from there, or burn them to a DVD-r DVD+r which will work also, you can do almost anything you can imagine you can do with a computer, with a moded xbox, it is just very useful because you can still play xbox games on it, it is a very handy tool to have for any computer g33k.

I have heard you cant play any xbox online games with mod chips. Is that still true? As the Xbox online patches cripple modded xboxes.

Yeah use www.xbox-scene.com I have a Xodous (matrix) modchip in it. And as far as playing online games, you can use Tunneling sowftware ex. Gamespy tunnel, and they are currently working on a Dashboard that works for the xbox so you can online, but you can play any game you want online, just have to use tunneling sowftware. Need to sell this thing

There are external mod chips that allow you to turn off the mod chip itself thus allowing you to play online with Xbox Live. It also doesnt let you on if you have modified your hard drive, but there are ways into tricking it to read the stock HD info.
