Last year i rented a seadoo while i was in kelowna and id say 700 is pretty cheap...i paid a 100 for an hour and like 30 or so for gas....There is a place near 14th street SW and i believe 9th-10th ave(its around there for sure) and they rent motor bikes and other things like that...go down and see if they got a seadoo.

If you rent them here you'll get a better per day rate, but you'll be paying for days you'll just be driving... the thing is these things are expensive (an entry level sea-doo runs $10k.) and they're easy to break in the hands of renters (sucking shit up in the pump, swaping the engine, etc) and as such they demand a high rental price. I've got 2 worth about $5k each and I don't even really like letting my friends use them!
You might want to consider renting one for just a day out there or maybe half a day, or even like 3 hours on both days, it will keep the price down, and really, you won't want to ride it 10 hours a day.
On a side note 2blue are you on sea-doo.net?
