ok im sitting at home. . .working on some stuff in photoshop

and i get a phonecall from my brother. . .
he calls me, and tells me that he's with my uncle, and to come outside when they get to my house. . .
i ask him what it is, and he says that my uncle bought a new car. . .so im like alright pretty cool right. . .

anyways, i get the phonecall, and i come outside, and my jaw just DROPS. . .

my uncle and my brother are sitting in a green 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible . . . EVERYTHING original inside of it . . . and it looked spotless. . . he said it puts out about 325 hp. . .
:drool::nut:

he payed like $27000 CAD for it, and he told me that whenever he has the time that he'd let me drive it. . . :D

it's automatic though, but thats okay, not like u have a choice with that with these types of cars. . .

im gonna try to get my friend's digital cam sometime and take some pics of it

:hitit:

well for the 67 and 68 firebirds the body style and mainly the front end were way better then 69 came out and fucked it up. the front ends on 69 aren't as nice as 68. also the only real difference between 67 and 68 firebirds is the windows, but in 68 my personal favorite year some but verry few came with a 4.1 litre overhead cam and a 4 speed backing it. which is the cats meow...

and which is why i own this one(bottom)

69 was nice but 68 is better. and he got a pretty good deal for what he paid.

the hard top coupe's are better too in my opinion.

well its not like he can choose which model year he wants

this is what he found and he bought it

yes i am sure about this 4.1L OHC only a select few cam with these, mostly the others were 350's or 400 smallblocks. the car that i own in the picture is a 4.1 also my dad had one very similar when he was a teenager and that is what inspired me to get that.

it seemed as the 350's and higher wieghed to much, but with a 4.1 straight six it had the torque and less wieght that the car could fly.

i will check into some sites and see about some info for you.

and also, if you didn't have the 4speed standard the 4.1 did not get better gas milage

www.inliners.org

any one of those may have more info about the I6 Poncho. I have a 292 I6 in my '69 Chevy truck.

heheheh.....nope on both counts, I'm afraid. I got it for a case of beer and a promise that I would restore it and keep it. Besides...I got plans......

If I hear of one for sale locally, I could keep you in mind, if you like.

Greg
