I'm hoping to paint the car some either near the end of July or the beginning of August. My original plan is to do it myself. Does anyone know of a shop willing to rent out their paint booths and equipment? Is anyone here a professional painter?

Cheers,
Berg

u-wrench.ca they have booths all the suplpies you will need etc. plus a couple guys there are good painters that would probably give you some tips or shoot the car entirely if you spoke with them.

I like the I sand, I prep, they paint option. I dont know if that is factored into the rental cost though....
Still, painting in a booth is far superior to the garage, even if it is more expensive.

Honestly I didn't know we had such a place in town, and its not too far from where I work. Thanks for the info! Definately be checking them out.

Ok, here's another silly question: Where is the best place to buy OEM paint colours? Is there a brand I should avoid?

any good brand can get the factory color you want. ive used PPG before and its good, just make sure whatever brand you choose you use their primer and clear as well to avoid any complications

Also what I used on my previous car. Turned out absolutely gorgeous though with the stock Super Red II Toyota color
