I just got my 2007-2008 forms in the mail and my premium went down, it works out to $10 less a month, just wondering how they decide what to lower your premiums to? Is it a specfic percentage every year you have a clean record or what?

Your insurance rates are abased on your driving class, record, experience, convictions, accidents and vehicle rate groups for collision and comprehensive.

You also forgot age, sex, marital status, postal code of residence (no, I'm not kidding), prior payment history and about 100 other things I can't think of right now.

yep, if you live in airdrie, youll pay about half of what you pay in calgary....just an example. My gf used to pay 1200$ a month in calgary, now that were in airdrie, it went down to 600

Moving from Calgary to a Rural area saved us about 15% off of our premiums. Main reason being less likely hood of an accident or theft occurring. It doesn't cut the rate in half.

Yeah... deffinantly per year. I don't care how rich you are, but 1200 a month doesn't go down easy...
