THAT is an S2000 engine? hmm......

Well it would be a great idea if the guy had done a M conversion rather then taking out a good German engine for a Honda engine..

Is there some secret competition to place the s2k engine into as many vehicles as possible? :dunno:

I mean the engine in the ae86 was already a bitch and a half to install on that, damn I wonder how much time and rhetrofitting it would take to put that setup into a bimmer  :nut:

That was kinda stupid and a waste of money

Thats messed up, must have taken ALOT of custom work.

In a Right hand drive car, with the Shifter on your left, is the Gearbox the same as a left hand drive car?? ....does that make sense? like we shift left----right, is the gearbox the same, or do they shift right----left, :dunno: just curious, probablt sound like an idiot:bigpimp:

James,

Funny thing I was thinking same thing a couple days ago. I believe they shift left so the first gear is closest to you and the last gear is farthest.

That BMW looks pretty old, what year is it?

What would you buy between a Z3 and an S2000? I dont know if I would want to drop 50-60k for a Honda, but if I test drove one, it could change my opinion.

That is the dumbist thing i have seen a person do to a BMW.

and MAX, if u put that in your car u will be even slower then u allready are, that motor has like such a low torque rateing to push your 4000 lbs car would take a miracle. dont worry man, BMW's are for pimpin in, unless u have a M///

What a total waste of money..!!!!!
should used all that cash and put it towards deposit on the last generation M3 (1994-2000 model) or just buy a newer bimmer...!!

Wow, now you've got a torqueless motor in a really heavy car. Great idea, why didn't I think of that?

The S2000 is lighter, more powerful, faster, handles better, has a great shifter, and one of the world's best chassis designs. What does a Z3 have? "Legendary" Bavarian reliability aka breaks down a lot and costs a lot to fix. But it's definitely more pimpin to have the blue and white badge...bah

u buy a luxury car that costs a lot more than a s2k and u drop an s2k engine in it....where is the logic in that....

what a stupid idea. Ya, lets get an engine designed for a 1500lbs car and put it in a 3500lbs car. Ya ya, good idea.

I think the HatchiRoku with the S2000 owned as well.. I saw an AE86 with an SR20DET swap as well, that looked interesting (and WAY cheaper) too!

For the record, an S2000 has a curb weight of #2810

three.eighteen.
08-04-2002, 11:31 PM
well the curb weight of a 6 cyl E36 (assuming it is a 325i) is 3086lbs/1400kg, its lighter but i dunno, im sure the S2K engine weighs alot less than a 6cyl, so its like pushing an S2k with a passenger?

its also kind of stupid

This stupid statement is coming from an idiot who drives a crappy Ford POS. :dunno:

Reliable Japanese cars vs. unreliable Nazi cars, wonder what I'd choose. :nut: :nut:

When it comes to reliability, BMW's and VW's don't hold a candle to Toyota and Honda. Seriously, Bimmers and VW's break down more than psychologically unstable retards. :poosie: C'mon, make some reliable cars, for god's sake, it's the 21st century already. Sure, some of their cars are somewhat reliable, but as a whole company, they have a responsibility to make most or all of their cars reliable, much like Honda and Toyota. German cars are just like Chevy's and Ford's but only with status. All are unreliable.

The car above is a piece of shit, but at least now it has an excellent motor with reliability in its gene.   :whocares: :guns: :werd:

you do realize that the japanese were JUST AS BAD as the Nazi's in WWII, right? now that we are done with that ignorance...

you are right about 1 thing, Honda and Toyota are generally more reliable than VW and BMW but that doesnt make this swap any less retarded.
