the movie portrays America's native life style before the conquistadors came in 1492

P.S. it is very violent and hard to watch at times

Very different, not in english, have to read subtitiles. I liked it, pretty violent, sorta artistic. Depends if you are into these kinda movies.

I haven't seen a movie before where someone is chased on top of thousands of bloodied headless bodies . my stomach turned upside down cause am not used to gore ... hence "hard to watch at times"

anyway, it was a very nice movie that portrayed a dying Mayan civilization and a young warrior who would sacrifice himself to save his family. It is a nice inside into the Mayan lifestyle, system of leadership and beliefs

great action, very littel reading as there is very littel talking throughout the movie... and u dont really need to read as the actions speak for the whole movie..

It's an interesting movie to say the least. If anyone other than Mel made it, it would have been Oscar material.

Not just because of his reputation, but because he is batshit insane and it shows in the filmmaking. He could have done more with less, but overall it was good.

I think Mel Did a great job, and i allmost guarantee that the reason its not "oscar material" is because of his recent shenanigans.
