So my car got backed into... not much more i can say but im hopping we pray its not a write off. ill post a pick, you cant really see the area im most worried about and its the subframe behind the bumper that got bent. Tell me what you guys think and if its fixable.
I got two quotes, one being reasonable the other being double the other one... WHAAT? weird!

I guess a new quarter panel and tail light are needed along with streightening whats behind the bumper and it will be ok... but will bodyshops even take it on.

it was a 16 year old kid in a jeep grand cherokee... this blows ass nuts...

were communicating possible means of repair, and we will try a FEW shops if indeed people arent willing to repair it.

lets just pray its fixable beyond.ca people lets pray haha i dont want to let little "Jean" rott away in a junkyard.... 155,000 kms NOTHING mechanically wrong with it, and interior is in GREEAT condition... last thing that needed work is the body which is now in worse shape than before!!! GAH!

oh and this is one day after i got the other accident fixed plus the new CF hood installed and received the wing. and SPoon front lip from autodream.

I would think that it shouldn't be a write-off. Judging by the one picture you have about $2800-3200 in damages.

To be honest, i thought it was gonna be alot worse:dunno: After seeing the pic i would say about a 60/40 chance it won't be written off. G/L though!

its an eg civic, i wouldn't think that insurance companies would value one at much more then that.

btw, don't take it to a1, i had less damage then that and they estimated almost 6 g's damage :barf:

does not look like a write off to me, unless they use the BB value of the vehicle and outweigh the cost of fixing it based on its "value"

afaik thats how most insurance companies do it, and i can't see an eg being worth more then 3000 BB value (especially being a cx), sooo if repair cost is over 2 grand i doubt they would repair it.

best bet is getting the kid to pay for the damages and not go through insurance

Adam, do you have a bullseye on your car that we don't know about?

Sucks to hear. Get that kid to pay damages outside of insurance as it will probably be the best thing for both parties.

But hey, this gives you an excuse to buy my car!

who's the poor girl in the background?

i think we all need to pitch in to buy her some soap to wash those dirty feet and some shoes. :D

but man thats SUCKS. ouch. i dont think its a write off though, when i crashed my car, it was a lot worse than that. but cost $3000 to repair.

UPDATE: Ok sooo its going to be quite a bit to fix the rear right quarter, but because so much needed to be changed i thought it would be a good oppertunity to paint many other things SOO the car will get rear right quarter + door + Fender (new) + bumper(new) + fender(new) all resprayed + Faded into driver door to make it less noticable.

The EH2 should be good as semi-new again
