Import laws.

So whats the situation with the importing laws? Im looking to import a vehicle from Japan in a couple months, I want to know whats going on.

15 years or older exactly, has to pass inspection as well

in BC OOP inspections are getting a lot tougher, in AB though i think they are still pretty slack

EDIT: my suggestion to you if you want the least hassle passing inspecions is to buy a JDM car that has an NA counterpart (no skylines etc.) then you can swap headlights for DOT/SAE approved ones etc.
