Sorry, not good with computer stuff and cant get pictures to load up. Can email you if you want to see, slow though due to dial up.

The Supra is fast. Best time of 12.7 @ 113 mph and runner up for fastest import at the Battle Of The Imports in Calgary back in 2000.

Here's a vid. (http://members.shaw.ca/kevin.wong/race/jim-and-dom.asf) of the Supra running a modest 13.2 @ 110 against Dom's Porsche. This was the race for the title of fastest import in Calgary, back in 2000.

The Civic is damn cool... it runs consistent 1:28's on the roadcourse. To put that into perspective, I'm running 1:29's in the 944 turbo, and 1:27's in the AMG... both cars with well over 300hp.

In the SLK 320 (a little more power than this civic) I run 1:33's.

It's by far the best handling Civic I've seen.

Should make somewhere between what a stock GSR makes and what a stock Type R makes. This car is pretty quick, but it really shines in the corners. If you're looking for a quick go-kart Civic with reliable increase in HP (read: N/A), this is the car to get. If you want something fast in a straight line, and RWD, look no further than the '83 Supra.

MASSIVE BUMP!

People, this is an opportunity to own a legend! Jim's supra set a standard for fast imports in Calgary, before most of you were out of Elementary School! He built it right and he built it well! Jim and his Supra are legendary! 113mph in the quarter for $7500 is downright criminal!

The civic is CLEAN! You can spend $11000 on somebody's hatch with a cheesy body kit or you could buy this demonic little hatch, built by Jim himself! His wrench time and knowledge is your gain! A street legal go cart on steroids!

A little off topic, but what company makes a front 29mm sway bar? Where did you get it? I just did my front and rear, but there is no way I could find anything near 29mm..

Sorry, not parting out either car. Trying to sell them complete. As for the front swaybar, it is an old lightspeed production model they dont offer anymore (too big for the street) works awesome on the track though!

did you do the supra swap yourself? i need to find out who in calgary does swaps on mk3 supras...

s-zero
08-18-2003, 10:10 AM
Yes, i did the swap myself but i'm too busy to do any more with my new project car. I highly recommend that anybody that cant do major work on their vehicle to buy a modified car already completed or with decent performance stock. Too expensive to get anybody to do heavy mods. Reg Riemer at RCTS is a supra expert and can pretty much do anything you need to them.

How bad is the damage on the laser???

need a new bumper or more serious damage

s-zero

The laser front bumper rebar is shifted about a centimeter to the right and the hood was damaged but replaced with a used one that the color doesnt match. The fenders have to be realigned but the frame has been checked and straightened out. Have to see to make any decisions on condition. Thanks.
