EDIT: please note the car is not drivable, the clutch fork is either bent or needs to be replaced. i would venture to guess it would cost someone $100 in parts to fix it and have a perfectly running vehicle. this is the reason i dropped the price as much as i have. i haven't the time nor the inclination to partake in such an adventure for a car that i don't need anymore. it was great for when i worked locally but since i am running my own truck now i don't need a winter car.
thanks.

I put in a brand new brake master cylinder & clutch master cylinder as well. the brake master cylinder i did yesterday, the clutch master cylinder is on order and will be installed when it gets here next week.

From the sound of your engine, how long are you expecting the car to go on for still? I need a car like that, I have a few interests but this one has higher mileage just wondering what all has been done to the engine, because when I look at that kind of mileage I get second thoughts of purchasing <basically a little afraid of stuff happening to it>.

i don't think this is the original engine. it runs pretty strong. i would expect atleast another 100k out of it.

besides, you can get a jdm d15 for 650 that will drop right in.
this car is more a candidate for a swap now.

i replaced the clutch and brake master cylinders, i believe the clutch fork is broken or bent though, so it will need to be replaced. and if that has to be replaced you might as well put in a new clutch and for the cost of a clutch or whatever you could probably do a swap.

i'm sick of the car for now, so if anyone wants to come tow it away we'll start the bidding at 2500 and see where it goes from there.

$2500 obo. not a bad deal for a good project car or a sporty looking little daily driver.

that's just downright insulting.

i honestly don't expect to get 2500 for it, i have no delusions about it. but really, offering me less than 1/4 of what i'm asking is ridiculous.

would you do that at a business? a car dealership for example, would you offer then less than 1/4 their asking price? they'd laugh you off the lot, or call security to have you escorted off the lot.

thanks for the bump though, i guess.

$2000 fire sale!
not a bad deal for a good little car that has given me no real problems (other than the clutch fork, obviously) and gets wicked fuel milage and has a hell of a reliable little d-series in it.

How was the car lowered?

And if the motor is new, do you know how many km on it?

cua0
09-30-2007, 08:21 PM
the car was lowered with springs and shocks.

i don't have a clue about the km on the engine, i said in my first post it may or may not be the original engine.

hope that helps.

ok so i guess i have to edit the original post to say that the clutch needs to be fixed as the car is not drivable.
too many people thinking they can come drive it away.
