Rickard's white

I'm not here to discuss whether its good or not, but does anyone know any information about it being on sale in stores? Last night I found out that they are being offered in the rickard's tasters packs now, instead of the india pale ales. My bastard friends drank all 4 before i realized this. I would like to know if theres any news on being able to buy just a box of white?

Yeah i've heard good things about the whoregarden heh. i want to try that out, but do enjoy the white. i guess its still in the trial stages

i dont really like it, they have it limricks(sp) and all those bars and i dont think i would be able to drink that all night. but i guess different strokes for different folks.

I've been asking every liquor store near my house when I can get the Rickard's White dozen instead of the taster's pack. No definite date yet. In the meantime my wife and I will continue to fight over the 4 in the box hahaha

Yeah, it's at a lot of bars but so far I've only found it in the taster packs (which you can get for dirt cheap at the Costco liquor store).

As far as I know (I have some friends who work at a beer store) White is just in the tasters pack. I could ask again, it may have changed.

Try that new beer Wild Rose Brewery Brown Ale. You'd be surprised how good of a beer it is, and it's brewed in Calgary. :thumbsup:

I picked it up in the tasters pack at Willow Park. Love it. It's at the Yardhouse as well. I hope they start selling them outside of the tasters pack soon.

Hoegaarden tastes like how I would imagine soapy dish water to taste... not good. Rickards white on the other hand looks similar, but tastes very good. They have it at Sams in Kensington.

I'm not a big fan of it. I had it at Broken City and while it was unique it didn't really give me much excitement like an ice cold Heineken does.

Maybe it just has to grow on me.

Tried it yesterday. Buddy at the counter told me to put a slice of orange in it. Wasn't bad at all.

had some for the first time on tuesday, at FATS in Kensington.


first impression - good, not great, the orange slice was a nice touch and added some needed flavor.

Otherwise the beer was fairly average, as expected from such a large company.

Didn't stop us from having 3 pitchers of the stuff though :)



also the wings at fats are off the hook.

Well, I'm gonna have to eat my words on this forum yet again! I tried 2 of these since there was nothing left in the fridge at the inlaws place and I have to say it was pretty damn good - a nice change and far better than I was expecting with the hoegaarden comparison.

Also, has anyone seen any Miller Chill in Canada yet? My Dad tried some in Houston last year and swears it is the most refreshing beer he has ever tasted, but it wasn't available in Canada yet. I guess they brew lime and salt right into the beer

This stuff is great. I'm on my 5th case already. They have loads of it over here in Canmore....and on Sale at Sobeys.

Great beer, I'd say. Goes down smooth. Very refreshing. No bloaty feeling afterwards. However, since it's unfiltered....barking spiders GALORE! This stuff gives me the worst gas!

The Rickards Tasters Pack is my fav. Red's the best, Honey Brown is good and White is good. I loved the Rickards IPA better than Keith's I thought.

For whites between Rickards and Hoegaarden. Hoegaarden is first, Rickards is second. Absolutely nothing wrong with the Rickards White, it's good. But Hoegaarden has decades of refinement behind theirs and you can taste it, plus you get what you pay for. Rickards White has only been out a few months but it's still quite good.

I wish: for a Rickards Tasters Pack with the FOUR flavours. Oh mama that would be heaven. 4 divides into 24's and 12's perfectly. Rickards Red, HB, IPA, White

Bleh, I tasted this on Monday.... it was crappy beer. Didn't taste awful, just wasnt great... had a bad taste, and the orange... wtf is that? Won't be ordering that again....
