Item has SOLD!

I've built a new AMD x2 HTPC (Home Theatre Personal Computer) for 1080p, but here is my old one that is built to run up to 720p H264. This is a bit older tech, but will run just up to the latest high def codecs out there. This will function as a PVR as well, you just need to configure/buy software. Gaming at projector resolutions (not usually as high as on a monitor) is possible with most of the latest games.

If you are looking for a cheap way to get into the HTPC world for DVD and media playback, this is it. Its already pre-configured with software, so you don't have to figure out what is necessary for decoding certain codecs.

HTPC:
Abit AN7 Socket A Motherboard with Soundstorm (Dolby Digital Realtime encoding) has optical digital output
AMD AthlonXP Mobile 2500+ running at 2300
Thermaltake CPU Fan
Antec Overture Case (Painted all black, case could use a little touching up)
Pioneer 16x DVD Burner
120GB Hard Drive
ATI x1600 Video Card (Directx9) 256mb
1 Gig of DDR Memory
Hauppage 250 Single TV Tuner (MCE Compatible – standard def)
Running XP Pro right now

All that you'll need to complete this setup is to buy a wireless keyboard and mouse as well as a Microsoft MCE Remote. You can get this stuff from Memory Express:
