Looking to start making/mixing some of my own music and figured what better place to ask for advice?
What is a good beginner DJ setup that would last a few years in quality.
I will be mostly interested in mixing trance / hip hop.
Thanks

Better start saving your pop cans... Quality stuff is expensive. I've got 2 Denon DN-s5000's CDJ's and a Denon DNX-800 mixer I could sell you for $2000.... Good used turntables will run you about 2-300 each, Technics is a good turntable manufacturer.... For my own personal setup now I've got 2 Pioneer CDJ Mk3's and a DJM-800.... with a Pioneer EFX-1000 Effector on the way, This stuff cost me a lot of money, so I guess it's all based on what you want to pay. I'd recommend serato scratch live if you have a Laptop too, it's awesome to mix with....
As for speakers and lights, well, that comes later...
